Because of people like you … people who have attended the concerts and contributed to “Pay It Forward” as we heard in the 2000 movie with the same name … the “Artist Series” we launched here at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley in 2019 has not only survived the Covid-19 Pandemic but even thrived thanks to technology and creativity.

ARTIST SERIES MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Shepherd of the Prairie Artist Series is to provide a platform where gifted artists can share their God given talents.
This series will serve as an extension of our commitment to community outreach.

THE HISTORY OF THE SOTP ARTIST SERIES……….In the beginning…
- February 26, 2019 First Meeting of the Artist Series Team. (subsequent meetings every 3rd Monday of each month)
- August 23, 2019 Cocktail party at the home of Chris and Sara Solem to establish founding donors.
- June 17, 2022 Celebration Cocktail party for Generous donors at the home of Chris and Sara Solem.

- October 12, The DaVinci Notebooks by Jocelyn Hagan, Heartland Voices, Elgin Youth Symphony. An Illinois Premier performance.

- December 15, Christmas with the Heartland Voices (with SOTP Adult Choir)
2020
- January 25“Mi Latinad” ( An evening of Latinx singing, dancing and culture.) featuring our own SOTP member Alix Rhode)
- March 7 and 8, Wartburg College Castle Singers (Saturday Concert, Sunday 9 am worship)
- COVID 19 SHUTDOWN
- December 12, “Christmas Reflections of Hope, Comfort and Joy”” (online Only) Host for this Gala evening was our own member and WGN Radio personality Orion Samuelson. A livestream concert of sacred and secular music celebrating the season, from J.S. Bach to Irving Berlin!
